The Tale of the Little Camel

In a distant land, on a camel farm, a sweet little camel lived with its family. This family had a tiny baby camel. Wherever the mother camel went, she would take her little one along, teaching it valuable lessons for survival. She tried hard to show the little one where to find food and how to protect itself from dangers.

One day, a caravan was preparing for a long journey. All the loads were placed on the mother camel’s back, and due to the intense heat, it was a challenging walk. The little camel, however, didn’t seem to mind any of this and was hopping and jumping around, having a great time. The mother camel kept warning the little one to slow down and be careful, but the little camel ignored her and continued to frolic.

After a while, the heat grew more intense, and the load on the mother camel’s back felt heavier and heavier. Suddenly, a fierce sandstorm swept through the area. It was the first time the little camel had faced such danger. For a moment, it seemed to seek shelter by its mother’s side. After a short while, the storm subsided, and the mother camel anxiously looked around for her baby. She became very worried when she couldn’t see the little one at first, but soon she spotted her baby running towards her through the sand the storm had scattered.

“Oh, my dear child, why don’t you listen?” the mother camel scolded. “You almost got lost!”

The journey resumed, but now the little camel was too tired to keep up.

“Mom, can you walk a bit slower? I’m so tired, and I can’t keep up with you,” the little one said.

To this, the mother camel replied:
“Oh, my sweet child,” she said, “what can I do? The reins are not in my hands. If the person holding the reins wants me to walk slowly, I will walk slowly. If they want me to walk quickly, I must walk quickly. When they say stop, I stop, and when they say run, I must run. When someone else holds the reins, they make the rules—remember that. But for now, walk a bit faster, or we’ll get scolded.”
